MONTANA’S PREMIER TRAIL BUILDERS

The Terraflow crew creates trails that go far beyond getting from Point A to Point B – our trails become experiences in and of themselves. From the design phase to construction, Terraflow sweats the details. Thoughtful assessment of the landscape’s key features, viewpoints, and native materials leads to an ultra-efficient construction process which results in trails that exceed expectations.

FOUNDED IN 2009

Founded in 2009 by Pete and Linda Costain, Terraflow is based out of the Montana mountain towns of Whitefish and Big Sky. A seasonal crew of 10-12 passionate mountain bikers work across the northern Rockies with a fleet of mini-excavators and earth moving equipment, typically tackling two or more jobs simultaneously. From handbuilt singletrack to lift access flow trails to wetland boardwalks, Terraflow gets it done.

Terraflow excels at gravel hiking paths, cross country ski trails, and multi-use community trail networks, but mountain biking trails are Terraflow’s true passion. Combine a crew with decades of riding and dirt sculpting experience with owner Pete Costain’s eye for “finding the line” through raw landscapes and you get sustainable trails that keep riders coming back for more.

We’ve worked with the US Forest Service, City of Whitefish, Army Corp of Engineers, Big Sky Resort, Whitefish Mountain Resort, Lone Mountain Land Company, Yellowstone Club, Whitefish Bike Retreat, Flathead Area Mountain Bikers, Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association, Flathead Lake Lodge, Whitefish Legacy Partners, Foys to Blacktail Trails and numerous private landowners.

“…it’s a jump masterpiece… groomed immaculately and begging to be ridden repeatedly at high speed.” – MtbPark.com
